Autumn's End
While perhaps not so dramatic as my title may imply, these photos are from the last couple weeks of the 2024 cottage season at the #fortressofmoderatesolitude. This time of year at the cottage is always bittersweet; I love the autumn, its colors, quietude, cooler nights, but it's also a reminder that cottage season is coming to a close.
To help stretch the time left (and to reduce the stress of packing and closing up the cottage), I've started taking the final week of October as holidays, so we can enjoy the last bit of the season more and pack up at a less frantic pace.
