About Jim

My two passions, photography and teaching, led me to my first career in commercial photography. With the release of Photoshop 2.5, I became involved in the world of digital imaging, and soon began designing for the web in addition to taking photographs.
While working in a commercial photo studio, I was approached by my former photography instructor to speak to the teacher's students. Over time, these guest speaker spots turned into an offer for a part time teaching position at Centennial College. I started teaching a single course to journalism students and over the years, took on more photojournalism classes, new media and advertising courses.

A former college professor of 21 years, I taught imaging, web design, and photography at Centennial College, and web design at Humber College in Toronto, Ontario until I joined Adobe in May of 2011. My role at Adobe is Sr. Solutions Consultant, supporting the education sales team in Canada and the U.S..
I've spoken at a variety of technology conferences, including D2WC and Adobe MAX.
The bulk of my work is currently on Flickr,  and specific projects of mine can be found here, on Behance. So, feel free to drop by here (or there) any time.
